These terms govern your use of ProtonChat.com (“ProtonChat”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the chat, you agree to them.

1. Who may use ProtonChat

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use ProtonChat. By signing in you represent and confirm that you are 18 or older. We remove accounts that we learn belong to anyone under 18.
You need a Google account to sign in, and you are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
Google sign-in is used to authenticate you securely — ProtonChat never stores a password for you. Google does not disclose your age or date of birth to us, so signing in with Google does not verify your age; the age requirement is met by your own confirmation above.

Messages are automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours (and the room keeps at most the newest 100 messages). Images are deleted when you replace or remove them.
ProtonChat is not a storage or record-keeping service. Do not rely on it to preserve anything. We are not responsible for content that has expired or been deleted.

You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You grant us the limited right to store it (until it expires or is deleted) and to display it to signed-in members — that's what the service does.
Only share images and messages you have the right to share.
Don't use ProtonChat to harass or threaten people, to post unlawful content, sexual content involving minors, spam, malware, or other members' personal information without consent, or to attempt to break or overload the service.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion.

ProtonChat is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We may change, interrupt, or discontinue it (or any feature) at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProtonChat.com and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account page.
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above changes when we do. Continuing to use ProtonChat after a change means you accept the updated terms.
